The Knaub Unitrust
The Knaub Unitrust that was generously established by Richard and Suzanne Knaub has donated a sizable gift to the BRI in support of Multiple Sclerosis research at UCLA. This BRI endowment will provide about $20,000 per year (market dependent) to support an annual program to name and support Postdoctoral and Predoctoral Fellows pursuing relevant projects. The call for brief proposals is made annually, early in the fall and the criteria will be: relevance of the research proposal to MS as well as trainee excellence and innovation. Multidisciplinary projects bridging disparate areas of research and using UCLA cores will be favored.
The inaugural Knaub Fellows, 2017 are Stefano Lepore, Ph.D. from the laboratory of Allan Mackenzie-Graham, Ph.D.; and David DiTullio from the laboratory of S. Thomas Carmichael, M.D., Ph.D. Further details about their research are here.
The next round of applications will be accepted November, 2017. Proposal details are here.
