Postdoctoral Position, Research Associates - Laboratory of Dr. Baljit Khakh
We seek postdoctoral researchers to generate tools to monitor, target and manipulate striatal astrocyte-neuron and microglia-neuron interactions in vivo. In addition, we have a vacancy for a technician to assist in the laboratory’s research goals.
Astrocytes and microglia are ubiquitous, highly branched glial cells that tile the entire central nervous system, making contacts with neurons and each other. Deciphering and exploiting the physiological roles of glia in the brain is a major open question in neuroscience. We are exploring how glia regulate striatal neural circuit function (in health and in disease) by using and developing state-of-the-art tools for molecular, cellular and circuit levels of evaluation in vivo.
Applicants should e-mail their CV and references to firstname.lastname@example.org
