Biography
Shuo Lin is a developmental biologist and geneticist who has served on the UCLA College of Life Science faculty since he joined the Department of Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology in 2001. He became a full professor in 2003. Prior to joining UCLA he was a faculty member at Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Lin earned his Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry at Boston University School of Medicine in 1991. He was a postdoctoral fellow in Nancy Hopkins? laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1991-1995, where he worked on genetic studies of zebrafish. Dr. Lin is actively involved in graduate education and biomedical research. His laboratory research centers on genetics of hematopoietic/vascular development and organogenesis.
