Marco Iacoboni, MD, PhD, studied medicine, neurology and neuroscience at the University “La Sapienza” of Rome, Italy. He joined the faculty of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in 1999. He is now Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences and Director of the Kreshek Family Neuromodulation Lab at the Ahmanson-Lovelace Brain Mapping Center. Dr. Iacoboni investigates brain systems and mechanisms for higher cognitive functions, in particular social cognition, in health and disease. His research has been funded by NIH and NSF, among others. Marco Iacoboni’s book Mirroring People is published by Farrar, Straus, & Giroux (hard cover) and Picador (paperback), and translated in thirteen languages. Biography

Marco Iacoboni is Professor of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences and Director of the Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Lab at the Ahmanson-Lovelace Brain Mapping Center. Iacoboni is a neurologist and neuroscientist originally from Rome, Italy. He joined the faculty of the Ahmanson-Lovelace Brain Mapping Center at UCLA in 1999.
