The UCLA Neuroscience Community and the Brain Research Institute sponsor a number of regularly-scheduled seminars and lectures, special workshops and symposia. The weekly Joint Seminars in Neuroscience series brings scientists of national and international repute to UCLA to meet with faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and students, and to present a lecture to the neuroscience community.

The BRI also sponsors a number of annual lectureships and prizes, including the H.W.
